About Us

The very special and unique fynbos biome of the Western and Eastern cape are one of the world’s richest sites for plant diversity and a UNESCO world heritage site. It’s home to thousands of plant species. Many of which are found nowhere else in the world.

Unfortunately there are many threats to these special sites and also to many plant species.

Probably the most well known plant of the Fynbos is the King Protea (Cynaroides), which is also the national flower of South Africa. Besides the King protea there are other varieties of Cynaroides. Also very well known are the pincushions ( Leucospermum ) and the conebushes (Leucadendron). All part of the Proteaceae family.  There are also a huge variety of other plant species, besides these.

We aim to create awareness and encourage gardens that celebrate and preserve these regions and plants.

Fynbos gardens are exceptionally beautiful and very fragrant, with very distinct and pleasant aromas. They are also very low maintenance and waterwise.

When you plant a garden, you leave a heritage.
